OXYCODONE HCl is indicated for the relief of moderate to severe pain where
the use of opioid analgesic is appropriate.
|
Important Safety Information: OXYCODONE HCl is a schedule II drug that
may produce psychological and physical dependence, as well as tolerance.
OXYCODONE HCl is associated with adverse experiences similar to those of all
opioids, the most serious of which is respiratory depression. The most frequently observed adverse reactions include nausea, constipation, vomiting, headache and pruritis. OXYCODONE HCl is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to oxycodone, those with significant respiratory depression, acute or severe bronchial asthma or hypercarbia, and in anyone with known or suspected paralytic ileus.
