Ceftin (Cefuroxime axetil) Systemic Anti-infective Antibiotic Is an antibiotic (cephalosporin type) used to treat throat, sinus, ear infections, Pneumonia, bladder infection. Tablets: 250-500 mg twice daily for 5 to 10 days with food. Category B Nausea, vomiting, Diarrhea, rash, vaginal yeast infection. Pregnancy Risk Categories defined: A: Studies in pregnant women failed to show a risk to the fetus in the first trimester - with no evidence of risk in the later trimesters. B: Animals studies indicate no adverse effect to the fetus, but there are no adequate, clinical studies in pregnant women.
