  • Bronchoscope is inserted through the nose or the mouth
  • Observes the condition of the upper airways through the eyepiece

  • To permit the collection of secretions for cytologic and bacteriologic study as well as for assessing tumors

  • To remove secretions that are obstructing the air passages.
